perma USA breaks ground on new US Headquarters in Charlotte

German manufacturer, H-T-L perma USA LP, breaks ground on new US Headquarters in Charlotte

Company is expanding manufacturing operations and moving to a new campus in Steele Creek

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 21, 2023) – After operating in Charlotte for almost 30 years, H-T-L perma USA, a German-based manufacturer of single-point lubrication systems, will commence construction on a new campus with a groundbreaking ceremony taking place on February 21, 2023, at 10:30a.m. on site at 10333 Westlake Drive.

The groundbreaking ceremony will commemorate the company’s expansion of their manufacturing operations and the investment in the new 40,000 square foot campus that will house headquarters, production, and warehousing operations. Currently with 60 employees, the expansion will bring on approximately 25 new positions ranging from engineers, sales, customer service, administrative, and production roles.

“By expanding our facilities, we can reach our customers much faster, while streamlining our internal operations and cater to our growth plans. We will have even greater control over the quality and cost of our products and can pass on these benefits to our employees, customers, and the community,” said Johannes Kiesel, President & CEO.

The new campus will increase operational efficiency for the company and allow them to focus on growing their customer base within the U.S. market as well as Canada and Latin America. For perma USA, environmental protection and awareness is at the forefront of their decision-making. This new campus gives them an opportunity to construct the facility to operate on net-zero annual energy consumption and switch the company’s vehicle fleet to all electric.

“With the new Headquarters, we can give back to the environment and the community here in Charlotte, our home for almost 30 years, while coming a big step closer to fulfilling our vision in all the Americas. I am very excited for the years to come and proud to break ground today,” said Kiesel.

Construction on the building and production facility will begin in the first quarter of 2023. Key partners include Trinity Partners – Industrial Property Services team, financing provided by TowneBank, Edifice, LLC as the general contractor, McMillan Pazden Smith Architecture as the architect-of-record, and Alliance Consulting Engineers providing the civil and environmental engineering.
